It's been quite awhile since i have added anything new to this page and Becky told me that it was about time to do that. Just to inform you all we are officially in our new house. We have been here since the 15th of Janurary. We haven't had a true house-warming party yet, but we hope to have one soon.

     Well I finally have a complete engine. I bought it from another member of our club for only $50. He had no idea of its condition and was afraid that I might be getting another lemon. When I did get a chance to take it apart we found that it was in perfect shape and ready for some basic "have to" rebuid parts. Hopefully soon I can get them ordered and I will be able to start putting it back together. Becky and I had decided on a paint color "finally", but have since changed our minds. (She changed her mind) I wanted a tan body with brown fenders. She wants it now to be the same color as her car. We did see one that color at a recent car show we went to.

     That's the other thing major that has happened since my birthday. Last weekend (June 1st-3rd) we had a road trip up to Effingham Illinois. This is where Mid America Motorworks is located. This is a major place to purchase parts for VW's. We haven't orderd anything from them because people in our group say that they are expensive. Anyway it was a great trip. Only one other couple made the trip with us however, two other guys had to cancel for other reasons. We did camp out there too. We even bought a new tent for the trip. It was supposed to rain a whole bunch while we were there, but it only did a little on the last night. While there we had a cruise around town and a stop at an old tim movie theater where we watched Herbie Fully Loaded. It was a really nice trip and we hope that we can get more people to go next time.

     Well I had a very nice day out at the bug ranch for my birthday. I didn't do too much to my bug at all though. I only put on the two new tires that I had and took the other two tires off. Sometime this week I'm going to order one more tire and get them taken care of too. Today we took a drive out to Vicksburg to price the paint and actually pick the colors out that we're going to paint the car. I have to ask one of the members of the club if he can get the paint any cheaper. I also have another line on an engine, well most of one that is. This one has at least been looked at by another member and he told me to get it. After I scrounge up some other parts from some other people I might have a whole engine.

     One other thing away from the bug, I bought Becky a new digital camera for mothers day. I know that she's not a mother yet but, someday she will be and she'll be ready.

     Well we made it through our first ever car show. I'm not saying that we've never been to a car show before, I'm saying we made it through putting on our first car show. It was a huge success. We heard some great things from some of the people that we in the show and everyone seemed to have a great time. I would add some pictures here but I haven't gotten them from development yet. I guess that's what I get for having a 35mm camara still.

     As for any other news in our life, Becky just got back from a trip down to Florida. She had to attend a school for her work. She also got to hang out with her friend Heather from back home that was down for a vacation. Becky was also asked to be in her wedding. I guess it's only fitting since the guy she's marrying is the guy she met at my wife's bachlorette party.

     I can't think of anything else to add other than that I'm stuck here today because we are finally getting the Kia fixed today. It's at the shop getting the timing belt replaced and a carborator cleaning. This $500 price tag is going to suck.

     Well I still don't have a complete engine for the car. What I did buy was worth the $150 that I paid for the engine though. I spent the whole day Saturday out there at the ranch taking apart the block and pistons only to find out that the crankshaft had been driven to death and the block "might" have been repairable. On a good note, I am going down south probably on Friday to check out another car that has a compete engine in it. Me and William from our group are going in halves on it because he wants the body. Hopefully between what I have now and what I get from that I will have a fully functional engine for my bug.

     Well some new stuff has happened to us and some of it isn't the greatest of news. Becky had to fly back to New York this week because her grandfather passed away. We had been hearing that he wasn't doing so well anyway. She also had some good news in that she is going to be in a wedding for a friend of hers back home. This is the same friend that was Becky's maid of honor. That means that we'll have to plan a trip up to New York sometime next year.

     For me the news is that as a Best Buy employee we recieved out Blue Crew Buck this week. This is a bonus for basicly making the company some money. The crappy thing with it is that they have to tax it to death. With this money though I am going to be putting some new tires on the old bug and pay for the new paint job. I also needed a new computer monitor so I went out and get that taken care of today.   

Well I know its been a long time now since I've written anything on this webpage. Hopefully I will be adding some stuff on here more frequently.
     One major change or addition that we have had has been the purchase of a new car. However its not that new. New to us I guess you could say. It's a 1974 VW Beetle, and boy does it need some work. It's actually coming along quite nicely. We have gone out to where its being kept and worked on it a few times and make a good improvement. I still need to replace 3 more of its tires and of course we still need and engine. Hopefully this week or next we will be getting most of the parts of an engine we need to build one. I've picked out a color that we're going to paint it. It's going to be blue. Along with the white oversized rims it's going to look really sharp.

Well we recently took a trip down to Vicksburg, MS for the day to see some history sites. We drove around 16 miles of history trails in a park and stopped at a Civil War boat museum and took a few pictures. We also had a nice tour of the original factory warehouse that made the first Coke in the United States. In our travels around the city however we were driving around (in a not so nice neighborhood) and a truck drove toward us in our lane of traffic and then pulled up on the curb. We didn't notice that they were cops until two officers opened there doors and ran toward the house, both wearing bullet proof vests. I soon drove around there truck and took the next turn to get the hell out of there.

It started at 7:45 am.  We tried to sleep in but just couldn't do it.  We first opened the presents that we gave eachother and then moved on to the ones from our relatives.  Josh got a pair of slippers, sweat pants, and a bag of mint Hershey Kisses from me (Becky) and I got hot rollers and a travel mug from Josh.  We both loved opening the suprises that were sent in the mail to us.  I made some green pancakes, sausage, and scabbled eggs.  The pancakes were not a pine tree green.  More like a teal because we only have neon colored food coloring.  We went to see the movie "Dick and Jane."  Very funny.  Loved it.  Then we took our ultimate X-mas present (the bug) out for a spin to the resevour and back.  It was not a nice day for the moon roof to be open, but it was a perfect day for those heated seats...ahhhh.  We came back to a pork smelling apartment and soon enjoyed the taste of pulled pork sandwiches that I cooked in the crock pot.  It couldn't have turned out any better.  To finish it up, we had some cheesecake that I made the day before while Josh was working.  Now we can only wonder what is in store for us on New Year's weekend.

Well we finally did it! W finally bought ourselves a new car. The truck has been sitting there for awhile now and since I have a new job at Best Buy we can aford something else. Well technically its not new. It's a 2001 VW Beetle and has 69,000 miles on it. It's light green and it's fully loaded. Leather seats, moon roof, remote entry, the works. Now all I have to do is sell the truck. This picture that I'm going to put up looks way dark on my computer because this monitor is crap, so I hope that it looks ok to everyone else.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! Well it's not until tomorrow but, I wanted to write that anyway. Becky is out in the kitchen making the pumpkin pie for tomorrow and she got the recipe out of Gene Marvins cookbook from the bridal shower. We arn't having dinner with anyone else this year either. All of Becky's co-worker friends had already made there own plans so we decided to eat alone too. This will be the first holiday that we spend together and not with family. In other news, I have finally gotten a job. It's not like I didn't have a job already at Manpower, but this one is more permanent. I got the call from Best Buy yesterday while I was on the job for Manpower. I had my oriantation tonight where they asked me if I could come in and work this Friday, yes Black Friday! Now I have to go in at 3am for my very first day and try to sell to very crazy people on the biggest shopping day of the year. On top of that I still have to finish up 2 more days for Manpower. Well I can't think of anything else to put into here, so until next time.

Well I finally have a job. I received a call today from a lady at Manpower and they were looking for someone for a warehouse position. It's not really what I want to be doing, but it's a job. Now here's the bad news, well it's not bad for anyone else just me. The truck is finally dead. This time it's really dead, not like last time where it was just mostly dead. I was out trying to locat the place were i had to work tomorrow and i hit a bump and the truck stalled. I tryed to start it again but, a cloud of white smoke came out from under the hood. This kind of white smoke is bad because it comes from electronic components and it really hard to get the smoke back in them. Basicly I fryed the big fuse box that's under the hood, you know the one that controls the brain of the truck. Only two mare payments to go and it will be all mine, a giant paperweight!

Well it seems that our little doggy is a master escape artist. She is such a little dog and yet she can climb a 31 inch high wooden child gate. She can also escape from a latched dog crate. She has escaped twice now and the second time was in a matter of minutes of putting her in there. We had to beef up security and place a clip from my key chain onto the cage so that the latch won't move unless it's undone. Hopefully we don't find her out in the living room tomorrow.

Well I took the baby for her first hair cut today. She is really cute and soft. Hopefully she will be able to stay that way until mommy comes home tonght.

Well the fair was here last week and Becky and I went to it. It actually wasn't all that impressive. There were alot of food places but they were all the same. It had some rides, but we didn't go on any. WE did however stay and go to the circus that they had. It was interesting. Here are just a few pics. My digital camara doesn't take the greatest pictures. A lot of times they are dark.

I know its been a month since the wedding, but Becky is on my case about putting some pictures of the wedding on here.

Well we survived the hurricane. There was so much wind here at the apartment and we heard many trees breaking behind our apartment in the woods. Only a few trees are down in our apartment complex. I took a few pitures of them to show you all. We only lost power for about 2 hours yesterday, but have been up ever since. Our neighbor told us that it is probably because we are so close to the hospital. It is only about a block away. Everything down the main road is closed. I took a ride down to Walmart and it was closed. The only place that i saw open was a Lowes. The must be running on generators. Well we have some company coming, some of Becky's co-workers that don't have power are coming. Here is some more pictures of the dog too.

Well we went and did it, we got a dog. She's only 7 weeks old now. She's a Shih Tzu and her full name is Megabyte, but we call her Meg. We have only had her for one day now. She has a cage out in the kitchen and we bought her some toys to chew on. We are also prepairing for a hurricane that is coming. We went into Walmart and it was really crazy in there. We saw people just throwing stuff into there carts. One lady was throwing packs of batteries into it. Our neighbor here said that the back parking lot that we park in floods when there are huge storms like this. I'm not sure how bad its going to be just yet. Well anyway i wanted to add some pictures so that everyone could see the new baby, so here they are.

Well hello everyone. Well I've told you that I was going to take some new pictures of the apartment so here they are. Nothing very much exciting has been happening to us down here. We have actually started on the Atkins diet plan so we can fit into our garments for the wedding. It's really hard to find some good foods that we can actually eat. Eating hambergers without the bun and cans of tuna without any bread. No pizza, no pasta, nothing that tastes yummy. Well anyway here are the pictures. Hope you like them.
